Known as an actress, An Vy made a surprising return to the art scene after a two-year hiatus, not only as an actress but also taking on a new role as a streamer.
The break was a time for her to rest and spend more time for herself and her family. According to An Vy, she had to work hard to improve her shortcomings, reflecting on the mistakes that came from her early fame to return as a better version of herself.
Sharing about her streaming job, An Vy said: “Before starting my first stream, I felt a lot of pressure. Currently, there are many talented streamers in Vietnam, with a large fanbase, and I was afraid that I wouldn’t be accepted by everyone.”
Fortunately, many people have supported An Vy a lot, and thanks to their encouragement, she no longer felt shaky and fearful every time she went live. However, the biggest challenge in the early days of being a streamer for An Vy was to look polished from makeup to outfit each time she appeared on camera, as she believes this is a way to show respect for her viewers.
Many opinions suggest that to become a streamer, one must be good at gaming, but An Vy has a different thought: “I admit that I can only say I know how to play games, but for me, to become a good streamer, the most important thing is to bring joy not only to myself and my teammates but also to the viewers. Being good at gaming is only for those who aspire to become professional players.”
Regarding the reason for choosing the streaming job alongside her acting career, An Vy stated: “This job gives me a sense of closeness and is a place where I can easily connect and converse with the audience…” At the same time, she believes that streaming is a promising career as more and more young people aspire to join this field.
The increasing number of streamers comes with fierce competition, but for An Vy, after her first experiences, she views these as new challenges that she must overcome to develop herself more diversely. Especially, each challenge, in An Vy’s view, comes with opportunities, which also serve as motivation to boost her confidence.
This new job also consumes a lot of her time. Every day after filming, An Vy dedicates all her free time to streaming. According to An Vy: “The income from this job is secondary for me; what matters is bringing my image closer to the audience and especially not getting confined to a certain path. It makes me realize that there are many ways to reach the goals I desire.”
When it comes to resolving conflicts between the two jobs, An Vy usually limits accepting contracts that interfere with her streaming schedule. However, for some special contracts, she will temporarily postpone her streaming and make up for it on subsequent days. An Vy also revealed that she recently rescheduled her stream because she has joined a web series called “Justice Team.” This is a comedic detective film consisting of 20 episodes, each 15 minutes long, airing on Lalaschool channel. An Vy hopes to be welcomed by everyone in the upcoming time.
The upcoming role is something that An Vy holds great expectations for. She shared: “Not only is the script great, but my character Ngân Khánh is also quite interesting. This is a type of person that I really admire and wish to become. With a lively, intelligent personality, and a love for justice, my character will solve tricky cases with my friends in the “Justice Team” movie.”
Although she loves such characters, An Vy also affirms that she doesn’t want to be fixed to any particular image. As someone with great ambition and a desire to become a good actress, she believes that she needs to adapt and change to fit various roles assigned to her. An Vy herself hopes to have a career-defining role, but she wants many, not just one.
Turning 21, the girl An Vy has changed a lot, gradually becoming a woman with depth, mature thoughts, and seriousness towards her work.
