The storyline of the HoL skin line is nothing short of a “slap” in Uzi’s face
Recently, Riot officially launched Uzi’s HoL skin line, and the former ADC from China has indeed become the second player after Faker to be honored in this project. However, one significant difference and a controversial factor arose when the League of Legends community discussed Uzi being chosen as the second player after Faker to receive HoL: his number of titles is far too few compared to many other names in the same position in the esports scene. When the storyline of the HoL skin line was revealed in the in-game interface, these debates and concerns became a reality.

Specifically, everyone knows that among the rewards of a Battle Pass Hall of Legends, there will be an event milestone for the player. For Faker, these are the glories he has achieved both collectively and individually throughout his illustrious career. But for Uzi, the community was astonished to find that most of these were… failures. In fact, Uzi’s milestones were so few that Riot had to include his transfer deals just to fill the reward.

The League of Legends community is also “at a loss for words” with Uzi’s HoL storyline
Clearly, Uzi may be one of the most exceptional cases of HoL, both now and possibly in the future. Because among the top ADCs globally, there are still names that possess even more glory than him, despite also going through the cycle of “debut – rise – decline – retirement”, such as Bang, Ruler, Deft, or even Piglet, Doublelift, Perkz. After watching Uzi’s stories, many League of Legends fans have commented that HoL is nothing less than a “slap” in the face of the Super ADC, highlighting the countless failures he has faced in his career.

However, ultimately, Uzi’s inclusion in HoL when Riot selects players from the LPL was somewhat predictable. It’s just that perhaps now the audience has realized how sparse Uzi’s stories and milestones are, despite being born in 1997. Nevertheless, if it’s the billion-strong market and it’s Uzi, along with Riot’s intention behind this skin line, not many would be surprised anymore to see Uzi featured right after Faker.
