HLE Star Forces Rivals to “Adapt”
Joining HLE after a long stint in the LPL, Kanavi has become one of the most intriguing transfer stories in LoL. Despite being Korean and a former national team member at ASIAD for LoL, this is his first time competing in the LCK. After consistently high-level performances, HLE coach Mowgli says Kanavi is helping to “reshape the LCK’s playstyle.”

According to HLE’s coach: “From what I observe, many other Junglers are trying to mimic Kanavi’s jungle pathing and aggressive playstyle, always pushing forward. However, I don’t think they can match him. Kanavi is simply too skilled. He definitely influences the overall LCK meta, but I believe no one can keep up with his level.”

Kanavi’s Shine Also Thanks to Strong Teammates
A clear strength of HLE, beyond high skill and form, is their wide champion pool allowing diverse strategies. They are even willing to experiment and accept losses. Even when they lose advantages against top teams like T1, the “Orange House” finds ways to maintain control. Thanks to quality teammates, Kanavi’s playstyle has been maximized in effectiveness.

Furthermore, Kanavi’s bold playstyle is a key variable. Many LCK Junglers tend to stick strictly to meta strategies. Thus, a player with a highly unpredictable style naturally stands out. Even when following the meta, Kanavi finds ways to create moments of surprise. This makes him a unique presence in the LCK.
Of course, such unpredictability can become familiar if teams figure out counters. Therefore, Kanavi must continually improve his weaknesses and maintain peak form to deliver the best results for HLE.
