HLE Star Unexpectedly Criticized by Former Teammate
As we know, after a long career in the LPL, during the 2026 season, Kanavi returned to his homeland and had his first LCK seasons. Having been away from the tournament for too long and returning with the expectations and pressure of leading a “superstar” lineup as well as replacing Peanut, Kanavi clearly has not performed up to expectations. Furthermore, recently, Kanavi was criticized by Qingtian – a player who also has some fame in the LPL.

Specifically, he shared a story about Kanavi once requesting to pause a scrim just to address his “hunger issues”. However, that’s not all; Qingtian also claimed that Kanavi is selfish and has personality issues. Notably, this was agreed upon by Wayward – also a former TES player and a former teammate of Qingtian.

However, LPL fans’ reactions leaned towards HLE’s captain.
Nevertheless, according to many LPL fans, Qingtian was actually a “rival” of Kanavi, having once aimed to join JDG but failed the tryouts. And all that Qingtian left behind while representing the LPL team was a drama with Faker. He once infuriated the entire LPL by ruining a game in a ranked match against Faker. In fact, Faker was so upset that he demanded Riot to take immediate action.

This led to a consequence where the LCK subsequently decided to tighten account granting for foreign players, and the VCS also “suffered” in this incident.
– Qingtian’s words to Wayward must be very credible, right?
– Who can perform well with a hungry stomach?
– One rose to fame thanks to Faker, another thanks to Tian and JackeyLove, yet they talk bad about others.
As for Kanavi, his talent and leadership abilities have been proven during his time with JDG. In fact, at that time, Kanavi’s JDG swept all strong teams like Gen.G or T1. Therefore, the issue for the former TES star now is merely to adapt and improve himself to fit the LCK.
