Recently, to finalize the lineup for the playoffs VCS Spring 2024, Team Secret has once again made a “position switch” for Hiro02 to the Jungle role. This position was previously held by Qiang while Hiro02 was in the Mid Lane. The duo created one of the most unpredictable Mid-Jungle pairings in VCS Spring 2024, helping TS soar on the leaderboard. Unfortunately, Qiang is currently under investigation for match-fixing in VCS Spring 2024. This also marks Hiro02’s third position change. Previously, he debuted in the Top Lane and has relinquished that position since Hasmed joined the team.

Although he has demonstrated versatility, Hiro02 remains just one of the few exceptions. In fact, the VCS has seen players who can even handle more roles than the superstar currently in the “Secret Society.”
Sena – Jungle, AD Carry, Support, Top Lane
Currently one of the most notorious streamers in the Vietnamese Esports scene, Tu Sena was also considered a versatile player in League of Legends when he was still a pro. Perhaps few remember that when Sena debuted under the name “Insane,” his position at that time was AD Carry. Later, while playing for Hanoi Phoenix, Sena tried his hand at the Jungle role – the position he is most known for.

During his time with Saigon Fantastic Five, Sena occasionally took on the Top Lane role alongside Jungle. Later, when he joined FFQ under the legendary QTV, Sena even took on the Support role. It can be said that in a League of Legends team consisting of 5 official positions, Sena has experienced 4 out of 5 roles – an impressive number given that “Principal” Tu’s career did not last very long.
Teacher Ba – Top Lane, Mid Lane, AD Carry, Support, Coach
A very famous character in the Vietnamese League of Legends scene and the streamer community – Teacher Ba, when he was still a pro player, was also very versatile. Originating from Xgame, Teacher Ba was once a Mid Lane, Support, and even AD Carry for this team. In all three roles, Teacher Ba (then nicknamed BaRoiBeo) played in a continuously rotating manner with his teammates, sometimes with Vigoss, sometimes with Oxi.

Later, when he joined FFQ, Teacher Ba even took on the role of coach and Top Lane for the team whenever needed. Finally, when SBTC Esports was still competing in VCS B, Teacher Ba played solidly in the Top Lane position. Besides that, he later became an owner of the League of Legends team SE. It can be said that when he was still a pro player, except for the Jungle position, BaRoiBeo had experienced a wide variety of roles.
Archie – All Key Positions in a League of Legends Team
Not having a team after retiring like Teacher Ba, but Archie – the current coach of GAM Esports, is the first player in VCS history to have experience in all 5 player positions and as a coach. He is also regarded as one of the most versatile players when he was still competing and is ready for any choice from the coach, whether that position is a Support he excels in or any unfamiliar role.

After retiring from being a player, Archie became a coach of a League of Legends team and has made his mark in this role. It can be said that in a professional League of Legends team today, Archie has experienced all the most key positions and has achieved some success in each.
SofM – The Most “Dominant” on the List
While Teacher Ba and Tu Sena have some positions they never tried as players, and Archie has not become an owner of an official League of Legends team or pursued a career as a streamer, SofM stands out as the only one on the list who has done all the roles mentioned, being the perfect blend of Teacher Ba and Archie. Currently, people are very familiar with SofM in his role as a former Jungle, streamer, owner of Vikings Esports, and also a coach for the team.

However, in the past, SofM played in the Top Lane, Jungle, AD Carry, and Mid Lane for the team he was most attached to in VCS – Full Louis. In fact, SofM even had the nickname INSTANTLOCK TRYN (auto-locking Tryndamere) to assert his Top Lane position. During his time competing in the LPL, there was a match where SofM had to switch to Support in place of ON when the current superstar of Bilibili Gaming was underperforming. Of course, that experiment by Suning ended in disaster, and SofM had to return to the Jungle position immediately in the next game.

In VCS Spring 2024, SofM will return to his role as a player. And regardless of VKE’s results, League of Legends fans in Vietnam can feel somewhat satisfied to witness the 2020 World Championship runner-up actually competing in the VCS without it being an April Fool’s joke.
