At the recent Worlds 2023, it was perhaps the first time that international audiences could fully witness the fervor for League of Legends in general and T1 in particular from the VCS community. Before the Swiss stage began, statistics showed that the co-stream channel of Caster Hoàng Luân even had the highest view count among all co-stream channels, surpassing big names like Caedrel and Ibal.

Subsequently, for the finals of Worlds 2023, Riot had to separately tally the views from the VCS, which peaked at over 800k at its highest point. Coupled with the performances of Team Whales and GAM Esports, the VCS made a significant impression at the biggest tournament of the year in the League of Legends scene.

For T1 specifically, it’s not the first time VCS fans have made waves. In fact, T1 players frequently showcase gifts they receive from the Vietnamese League of Legends community or interact in Vietnamese with fans and even players from VCS during their streams. Both Keria and Gumayusi often show off gifts given by VCS fans, making Vietnamese viewers even prouder.

Recently, on his stream, Gumayusi not only interacted but also had a “special gift” for the VCS audience. Specifically, during his stream, Gumayusi greeted the VCS audience: “Thank you Vietnam (fans). I will visit Vietnam in the future. See you there!”

Gumayusi’s message truly made many VCS fans “overjoyed” at the prospect of T1 players potentially visiting Vietnam. At the end of the 2023 season, T1 also made a tour combined with a small fan meeting in Germany, sponsored by Red Bull. However, that was after the season had wrapped up, allowing the players to rest and enabling T1 to arrange a “show running” schedule. Many believe that the best time for such activities could only be at the end of the season, when tournaments have concluded.

Of course, meeting and interacting with T1 players or any League of Legends stars around the world is not that complicated. But T1 is the most accomplished and appealing team in the League of Legends scene, and therefore, scheduling with them is certainly not easy. Nonetheless, the affection from the VCS audience has reached the players and is greatly appreciated by T1’s superstars.
