Gumayusi Talks About Both T1 and HLE
It can be said that while 2025 was a challenging year for Gumayusi due to internal issues within T1’s coaching staff and troubles with extreme anti-fans, 2026 presents new challenges as the FMVP of the 2025 World Championship changes environments and joins HLE. After two consecutive losses, HLE managed to reclaim victory against BRO, although it was quite a struggle. However, Gumayusi has yet to truly showcase his full potential. Additionally, after the match, the former T1 star shared notable insights regarding both his former and current teams.

Accordingly, Gumayusi commented on T1 and HLE: “I think T1 is an extremely smart and excellent attacking team. Last year, T1 won the World Championship. Therefore, at present, I still consider T1 to be the strongest team. As for HLE, what’s important now is that the whole team is more cohesive and plays better offensively. That’s what I’m thinking about.”
HLE’s strength last season was Peanut’s jungle control, which set the stage for HLE to prepare for major skirmishes. This team, even if it struggles in the laning phase, can leverage its skirmish strength to regain control of the game. However, this factor seems to be disappearing at the moment, leading to significant difficulties for HLE.

LCK Cup 2026 May Be an Opportunity for HLE to Build Cohesion
HLE certainly still aims for the highest goal of winning the LCK Cup 2026 and then the First Stand. However, given the current situation of the team, one of the equally important goals will be to foster cohesion within the team, as the LCK Seasons will commence immediately after the First Stand concludes, and that will be an even more intense phase, determining qualifications for MSI, ASIAD, and even the following season.

And because of this, HLE fans need to be prepared for all scenarios, as the HLE star lineup is currently under the most pressure.
