Gumayusi Aims for Nearly “Impossible” Goals with HLE, Speaks on Leaving T1
As previously reported, on November 23, HLE officially announced their final two signings, completing their roster for the 2026 season, which are Kanavi and Gumayusi. Among these, the most notable name is undoubtedly Gumayusi – the former AD Carry of T1, who is still the reigning World Champion and FMVP of the 2025 World Championship. For his part, right after the official announcement, Gumayusi held a brief livestream to share about his journey with T1 and his upcoming goals with HLE.

During the livestream, Gumayusi acknowledged that there was no truth to the rumors circulating on social media that his former T1 teammates had isolated him or interacted negatively with him. He also mentioned that the whole team managed to have a farewell party, even though the time from winning the 2025 World Championship to Gumayusi’s announcement of leaving T1 was only a week.
Next, Gumayusi set his sights on winning the World Championship for the fourth consecutive time, this time with HLE. In fact, this is an achievement that even Faker has never accomplished, and frankly, it is nearly impossible. Of course, it still depends on the players’ performances, but the World Championship is a stage where even a small mistake can lead to losing a match. Zeka – Gumayusi’s new teammate, understands this all too well.

HLE – T1 Could Be the New “Classico” of LoL
In recent years, Gen.G has always been seen as T1’s main rival. However, with new investments and many “connections”, HLE may also create new “Classicos” with T1 in the upcoming season.
And in those matches, there will be many emotions regardless of which side wins. Either Gumayusi and Zeus will defeat their former team, or Faker and his younger teammates will continue to assert their dominance as they did in the previous 2025 season.
