On September 17, T1 unexpectedly announced that an employee within the organization had tested positive for COVID-19. This prompted the organization to conduct rapid testing for the entire roster and staff slated for the 2021 World Championship, in order to prevent any worst-case scenarios.
However, fortunately after 24 tense hours, all T1 fans were relieved when the team CEO – Joe Marsh, recently officially confirmed: The entire team tested negative and will depart for Iceland as previously scheduled.

Specifically, Joe Marsh stated that T1 will depart for Europe after the Mid-Autumn Festival (around September 22), once the players and staff have all tested negative for COVID-19.
This news has completely reassured fans that the players, staff of T1, and more broadly, the entire World Championship event, have fortunately not had to face unusual risks posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Currently, T1 along with Gen.G Esports are the two remaining LCK teams that have not yet announced their registered rosters for the 2021 World Championship. However, with only a few days left until departure, the identities of the players heading to Iceland will likely be announced soon.
