Currently, the entire LoL community is focusing its attention on the World Championship (Worlds) 2023 as the situation becomes increasingly tense. After just 3 Quarterfinal matches, the LCK has nearly been wiped out, with T1 being the last remaining representative. This is a surprising outcome, especially considering Gen.G was viewed as a top championship contender this year. Bringing the “China-Korea grand battles” to this year’s Worlds is none other than BeryL – the reigning champion of Worlds 2022.

At this year’s Worlds, aside from participating in the draw for the Quarterfinal matches, BeryL also personally flew straight to the LPL to co-stream with Doinb. The appearance of the “Gacha God” alongside the “Drama King” Doinb has thrilled the LoL community. Notably, BeryL also shared his favorite gacha games, such as Genshin Impact. Interestingly, he revealed a surprising amount of money he has invested in the famous game by miHoYo.

Specifically, shortly after he started investing in Genshin Impact, BeryL has “burned” nearly 1.7 billion VND on the game (equivalent to about 90 million won). This is indeed an astonishing figure, even for top players in gacha games. Notably, aside from Genshin Impact, BeryL also plays several other games, such as Honkai Impact 3rd. Therefore, if we calculate the total amount he has spent on gacha games, the number would be much larger.

BeryL’s passion for these games is also very intense. In fact, there are many reports that he is willing to decline meet-ups with former teammates to stay home and play games. miHoYo even showed favoritism by naming a district in Genshin Impact after BeryL. Meanwhile, BeryL requested Riot to design his Worlds skin for Ashe based on the character Elysia from Honkai Impact.

And it is almost certain that this amount will continue to rise as BeryL remains deeply passionate about these games. However, this very fact has helped BeryL become one of the most unique players in LoL, truly deserving the title of “Gacha God.”
