Teamfight Tactics has always been seen as an immensely successful product of Riot Games since its launch, as it not only satisfies the gamers’ appetite for the “auto chess” genre but also brings the unique skills of League of Legends champions to the table. In fact, the ranking system of Teamfight Tactics is often regarded as superior to that of League of Legends, as it eliminates the “nightmare” promotion chains.

However, the one thing that has made players uncomfortable about Teamfight Tactics is the rather “lackluster” ranking rewards. In previous seasons, we only received emotes at the end of the season, which, compared to the ranking skins in League of Legends, are quite small and not worthy of the effort gamers put in.
Listening to this, Riot Games has made some extremely important changes to the ranking system, alongside the reset rank method, the ranking rewards with special Glorious Little Legends have finally been introduced to Teamfight Tactics. Specifically:

In version 10.12, the ranking system of Teamfight Tactics: Infinite Galaxy Stage 2 will begin.
Your rank will be lightly reset after the update, specifically dropping one tier; for example, if you are in Gold II, you will drop to Silver II after the update.
If you perform exceptionally well and are at the Master rank or higher, you will be reset to Diamond 4 after the update.
You will still need to play 5 placement matches, meaning you will not lose ranking points if you do not finish in the top 4 when playing ranked in the new version.
If you have Gold rank or higher in Stage 1 of Season 3, you will receive a ranking emote. If you maintain Gold rank or higher in both stages of Season 3, you will receive a Glorious Little Legend.
You will also soon receive the Glorious Little Legends from Season 1 and Season 2 – Elemental Ascendance if you have Gold rank or higher in those two seasons.

Another notable change in the Teamfight Tactics system is that the Cosmic Nebula has been removed from the game earlier than originally planned, which was in patch 10.13. The reason is quite understandable; it introduced a very negative playstyle centered around a single unit, and perhaps Riot Games wanted to eliminate this playstyle as soon as possible, hence the early removal of Cosmic Nebula.
