As we know, this weekend, Gen.G will have a meet-and-greet with League of Legends fans in Vietnam specifically and the Esports community in general. This will be the first time Vietnam has the honor of hosting a team that is the reigning champion of MSI. Not to mention, Gen.G is also the first LCK team to achieve four consecutive domestic championships. The players themselves, like Chovy and Canyon, are already familiar faces to Vietnamese fans and have a huge following in the VCS. Therefore, this event is highly anticipated.

On the afternoon of May 24 (Vietnam time), after many days of waiting, VCS fans finally got to see the Gen.G stars arrive in Vietnam. From early on, many fans of Gen.G in general and fans of Chovy in particular waited at the airport for their idols. As soon as the stars were about to step out of the lobby, fans and media rushed to capture moments that might be hard to come by in the future.
Fans who couldn’t make it to the airport were continuously following updates through posts. Many were quite surprised by Chovy’s impressive height compared to his teammates. For those who don’t know, Chovy is one of the tallest players in the LCK, standing over 1.8m. The Gen.G players themselves appeared shy and reserved, quite different from their usual confident image. Perhaps this is because it’s Gen.G’s first time in Vietnam and they are still overwhelmed by the warm welcome from fans. Not to mention, after a long flight, the players might also be a bit tired.

Right after leaving the airport, the players moved to their resting place. But the enthusiastic images of fans will surely be etched in the memories of the reigning MSI 2024 champions.
