While T1 defeated KT on Wednesday, Gen.G quickly followed up with a victory against DRX the very next day to level the scores with their rivals.
Therefore, the battle between these two teams tomorrow (July 30) will almost certainly determine who takes the top spot in the 2022 LCK Summer Split standings. Just before this match, Chovy from Gen.G expressed extreme confidence in his team’s victory over T1. He even stated that the whole team has studied T1 thoroughly and will neutralize all of the opponent’s weapons.
Question: You have faced T1 many times already. What preparations have you made for this upcoming match against this opponent?
Gen.G Chovy: In the first match, we unfortunately lost to T1. The whole team then focused on analyzing and understanding the reasons for our defeat and how to rectify them. Therefore, all the weapons T1 used to defeat us in that match are no longer effective. We are very confident that we will beat T1 in the upcoming match.
If we pay attention, we can see that in recent matches, Doran has significantly improved his performance and has become a key player for Gen.G. Instead of only using Gnar, Doran has been more daring in selecting riskier champions like Aatrox or Akshan to create significant advantages in split-pushing phases.
Besides Doran, Peanut’s position has also been playing exceptionally well lately with incredibly accurate attacks.
