Recently, the Vietnamese League of Legends community has been eagerly watching the first matches of the VCS Summer 2024 tournament. After the major match-fixing scandal, it was thought that the Vietnamese League of Legends scene would fall into crisis, but thanks to the efforts of individuals and teams involved, and especially the support of the audience, the tournament has garnered even more attention. Viewers have some faith that matches can now take place in the healthiest, most professional atmosphere possible. Furthermore, teams are also introducing many new faces, both unfamiliar yet familiar. Among them, the standout is GAM Esports’ rookie ADC “Neo” Toàn Trần, who has just returned from studying in the LCS.

However, while showcasing the skills of a player who has fought for many years in the LCS, Neo still has a flaw that sparks debate among viewers. Specifically, in some recently released mic-checks, it was discovered that the GAM player has a habit of cursing whenever he experiences intense emotional moments.

In reality, this is a behavior not unfamiliar to anyone around the world, including Vietnam. When emotions run high or in specific situations, cursing as an instinctive reaction helps people relieve their feelings. This is not a positive habit, but even the most ordinary people sometimes “slip up.” Moreover, as a gamer, it is completely understandable for Neo to encounter this issue.

However, this behavior is a factor that could lead to severe penalties for the team. In some tournaments that prioritize professionalism to the highest level, such as the LPL or LCK, mistakes like Neo’s can be classified as “toxic” behavior. In fact, there have been numerous cases where players have slipped up while playing ranked, causing their teams to face heavy penalties from Riot.

Nevertheless, these may just be some of Neo’s momentary emotional outbursts during intense performances that help GAM secure thrilling victories. However, this player may need to train himself to be more cautious if he doesn’t want to “bear the consequences” in case he is penalized.
