As we know, in patch 12.4, the new Support champion named Renata Glasc has officially launched and is rated as an extremely strong champion. Perhaps the Zaun Queen will find herself in a similar situation to Zeri, boasting an incredibly high win rate despite being a new champion, leading to continuous nerfs afterwards. In fact, Riot had to release a hotfix a few days ago to tone down this champion’s dominance.

However, it seems that Riot Games did not anticipate that their new champion would have the unbelievable ability to steal objectives with her ultimate, Hostile Takeover. Specifically, when this champion uses her ultimate on a target with Red Buff, it is counted as damage dealt by Renata Glasc. Therefore, even if that champion is taken down and switched to another champion, this damage still counts for the “queen” mentioned above.
For instance, in the video below, Draven and Lee Sin (with Red Buff) are hit by Renata Glasc’s ultimate. After Draven takes down Lee Sin and acquires the Red Buff, this champion turns to attack the Dragon, and theoretically, it should belong to the Blue team. However, since the Red Buff is counted as damage from Renata (Red team), when Draven finishes off the Dragon, the game recognizes that it was “the queen” who stole the objective.

Clearly, this is a serious bug that goes against the gameplay of League of Legends, as once a buff is acquired, it belongs to that player. It is illogical for the buff on this champion to belong to another character, regardless of the skill’s influence. We hope that Riot Games will soon eliminate this unreasonable feature, especially since Renata Glasc is already a very strong Support champion.
