Two players have become the center of attention after GAM released a clip about their journey at LCP 2025
It was thought that with their experience and talent, GAM Esports would easily dominate the tournament upon joining APAC and participating in LCP 2025. However, the reality turned out to be the complete opposite. This phase can be described as a “nightmare” for GAM and their fans. The recent behind-the-scenes clip highlighted two players who are truly in a state of “crisis and pressure.”
Specifically, Aress and Elio are the two players showing a lack of connection with each other and somewhat with the entire team. Aress is a newcomer to GAM and clearly feels the immense pressure of wearing the yellow and black jersey. In fact, during the clip, Aress could not hold back his emotions and broke down in tears after GAM’s loss to TALON at the beginning of the LCP 2025 season.
On the other hand, Elio has been criticized by both Levi and Artemis for making several poor decisions that left his teammates unable to control the match. GAM’s support player is no stranger to the team. However, his continuous unreasonable calls seem to have left his teammates dissatisfied. Not to mention, the calling responsibility primarily lies with Levi, who also admits that his teammates lack cohesion.
GAM Has Too Many Issues
The clip from GAM also shows that the team has numerous problems beyond the lack of connection between the two players. Coach Archie commented: “Except for Kiaya, no one is willing to sacrifice, everyone wants the best champion match for themselves”. Thus, the issue of champion selection for GAM is real and has yet to be resolved.
The players themselves show a lack of comfort and a low level of performance. The atmosphere in GAM’s clip can be described as quite heavy, with only a few positive moments, such as when the entire team returned to Vietnam or when they won a game against TLN.
Furthermore, the pressure on the players may be at its peak. It should be noted that the clip was released while the team was still in the group stage. Currently, GAM has just lost another match in the playoffs, and their next opponent is TLN. Throughout the LCP 2025 journey, GAM is the only VCS team that has not won a single match against a representative from PCS.
Moreover, all of GAM’s players are talented. But at this moment, even Levi has not been able to unify the team. The fact that there are too many players wanting to showcase themselves without cohesion is also seen as a reason for GAM’s struggles.
Although VCS fans will continue to support GAM, it seems that the black-and-yellow players must truly strive if they do not want to face a bleak future.
