Currently, VCS teams are in a resting phase. Firstly, the Vietnamese League of Legends community has just concluded the VCS Winter 2021 tournament. Furthermore, they are preparing for the upcoming Lunar New Year in Vietnam. However, teams will also be rushing to execute transfer deals to prepare for the upcoming Spring 2022 season, likely right after the Lunar New Year ends.

While Team Secret “kicked off” the transfer window at VCS by parting ways with two names, Pake and Simon, and SBTC Esports said goodbye to four players at once: Hiro02, Penguin, Artifact, and CBL, GAM Esports is the next name to “join in” by officially announcing the departure of analyst Nguyễn “Scary” Hải Hà on social media. Scary joined GAM in Summer 2020 and during his time with the yellow and black team, he achieved one VCS championship (Spring 2021) and two second-place finishes (Summer 2020, Winter 2021).

However, beneath the post announcing Scary’s departure, fans of VCS in general and GAM in particular were quite surprised, while also continuously “calling out”… Optimus and Teacher Ba. Of course, these comments were mostly made in jest since Scary has not made any announcements on his personal page, and neither Optimus nor Teacher Ba has mentioned anything related to GAM.

With one member of the coaching staff leaving, there will surely be changes at the top level of GAM in the near future. Additionally, the future of the team’s players remains a significant question and is of great concern to the VCS community, especially in the case of Levi – a player who has expressed a desire to go abroad multiple times. However, everything will only become clear in the near future, but certainly before the Spring 2022 VCS officially takes place.
