In recent days, the League of Legends community has been fiercely debating issues surrounding Dia1’s one-year ban from VCS. Many fans are also curious about who reported Dia1 and why the accusation came at this time. In response to these questions, GAM Esports Director Izumin candidly shared on his personal stream:
Izumin did not deny but also did not confirm the community’s allegations that GAM Esports or the previous owner of GAM was the one who accused Dia1. The only information that this director shared was that Dia1’s “under-the-table” dealings had been investigated quite a while ago, right at the beginning of the VCS Spring 2021: “I just want to say one thing. That is this issue was sent a long time ago. A long time ago, about 3 to 4 months… And this is just episode 1, it’s not episode 2 yet.”
So according to Izumin’s revelations, the “letter” accusing Dia1’s “under-the-table” behavior was sent about 4 months ago. This was also the time when GAM Esports was still under the ownership of Mr. V. and had not yet been sold to NRG Esports. This further fuels the League of Legends community’s suspicion that Mr. V. is indeed the one who reported Dia1 to the VCS organizers, leading to the one-year competition ban for the mid-laner of SBTC Esports.

Returning to Izumin’s comments, he stated that Dia1’s case “is only episode 1, not episode 2 yet.” This has led the League of Legends community to speculate that in addition to Dia1, there are at least one or a few other names accused of wrongdoing from the beginning of 2021 to the present. Izumin’s knowledge of “episode 2” has led many League of Legends fans to further affirm that GAM Esports is involved with these accusations.
