In the world of League of Legends, the Korean server is always regarded as the region with the highest quality ranking environment globally. Therefore, the Challenger rank in Korea is seen as the standard for many teams around the world to scout quality players. And perhaps many VCS viewers already know, LazyFeel – the Vietnamese player currently on the DRX Challengers team, has achieved the top 1 Challenger rank in Korea. To date, he is the first and only Vietnamese player to achieve this feat. In fact, even a “Game King” like SofM has only reached a high of top 2. Although LazyFeel has dropped in rank in a short amount of time, the efforts of this young Vietnamese star are commendable.

Notably, LazyFeel is famous for his “unique” item builds, opting for Zeri with the first item being the Galeforce, while at that time, this champion was typically built with the Stormrazor by both casual players and professional players to increase farming and damage capabilities. This unconventional item build has made a strong impression on the DRX CL player. Recently, he has brought a new take on Zeri: starting with Galeforce again, but then transitioning to Runaan’s Hurricane, Eclipse as the third item, and finally the Navori Quickblades/Infinity Edge.

Even a well-known expert in the League of Legends community is bewildered by how LazyFeel consistently uses such a formula in every match, abandoning even his familiar Kraken Slayer. The League of Legends community is also puzzled because clearly, Eclipse has been nerfed for ranged damage champions.

However, when compared to Kraken Slayer (which increases damage, pushes lanes strongly, and provides extra health), Eclipse (which also increases damage but adds Armor) seems to align better with the current gameplay focused on team fights. Not to mention, Galeforce Zeri is not a Zeri that pushes lanes or focuses on farming but instead aims for full-on team fights. Zeri’s skill set usually has a high attack speed, making it easy to activate Eclipse’s passive during fights and providing Zeri with a significant amount of Armor and Damage. Additionally, Eclipse is also cheaper than Kraken Slayer, allowing Zeri to have more gold for the fourth item builds like Infinity Edge or Guardian Angel.

Perhaps LazyFeel is focusing more on the additional Armor and Damage as well as the cooldown reduction from Eclipse at this moment.
Of course, the way Zeri is built may have been thoroughly researched and tested by LazyFeel. Therefore, despite the “unusual” playstyle, as long as it is effective, this player will continue to apply it in many more matches.
