As has been known, ever since Faker made sharp criticisms about the game-throwing situation among some players in the Korean server, including professional players, Riot in the land of Kimchi has become stricter in providing Korean rank accounts to other regions. This has heavily impacted professional players as this remains a high-quality environment. However, for regular players, there are still opportunities to own these accounts through buying and selling. Of course, if discovered and dealt with by Riot, they simply… find another account to use.

Recently, Celebrity, who is in Vietnam, managed to play on the Korean rank and, in one match, the former star of SBTC Esports had the chance to team up with a player from T1 Academy. However, the result of this match was extremely poor. Celebrity not only failed to win but also engaged in a “word war” with his teammate. Notably, while the T1 Academy player (playing Support) remained silent throughout the match, Celebrity directed some very harsh words towards his teammate.

In fact, Celebrity even dragged Faker into the conversation: “Playing like a ‘troll team’. If you play like this, Faker would scold you too, not just me. Playing like this, Faker might even ‘kick’ you from the (Academy) team.”

However, even in the chat frame or when Celebrity’s stream clip was reposted, many comments expressed concern for the former SE star, or even for the entire VCS. This is because Riot has not made any announcements about relaxing the provision of accounts to other regions aside from LCK. Celebrity’s illegal play combined with his toxic attitude is not positive at all. If LCK takes strict measures and directly bans IPs, there will be almost no chance for VCS players to own Korean rank accounts in the future.

Moreover, the reality has proven that in the entire match, every position of Celebrity’s team played poorly. The AD Carry himself also admitted that he did not understand Skarner’s skill set well enough to coordinate with his teammates. Therefore, losing the match was inevitable, and Celebrity did not necessarily need to have such a sensitive “var contact”.
