Speaking about the player with maximum professionalism in the League of Legends (LoL) community, many would immediately think of Faker. Throughout his career, Faker has never caused any scandals that could affect himself, his team T1, or the LCK region. In fact, Faker has even turned down romantic relationships and limited his close interactions with teammates, dedicating himself entirely to T1 and LoL.

However, recently, another story about Faker’s professionalism was shared by the former CEO of Riot’s Korean branch, leaving the audience both impressed and concerned. Specifically, the former CEO stated: “Last year, during the World Championship (CKTG) 2022, we were at the hotel. Around 4 AM, the fire alarm went off and everyone panicked and ran outside. But when we checked, we discovered that Faker was not there. We thought he might not have gotten out in time and we couldn’t reach him on the phone. This made us very worried.”

The CEO continued: “But then, Faker appeared, very calm. What was special was that he was wearing the T1 uniform. We asked him why he was late and wearing the T1 uniform, and Faker simply replied: ‘There are surely many fans outside, so I thought I should wear the team uniform.'” After that, despite many players being present, everyone surrounded only Faker.

The story from the former Riot CEO left the audience both intrigued and very concerned. Faker’s professional spirit is beyond debate. However, even in a critical situation, his calmness could sometimes lead to unforeseen consequences. Fortunately, Faker emerged unscathed, and the audience can only fully admire the professionalism of T1’s captain.

For Faker – a player who has dedicated his entire career to T1, LCK, and LoL; professionalism must be exhibited at all times. Perhaps that is why, despite not achieving the desired results in recent years, Faker remains an immortal icon that has yet to be replaced, at least as of now.
