Recently, former Cloud9, FlyQuest, and Optic Gaming player Daerek “LemonNation” Hart announced on his personal Twitter that he has tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing a health examination at the hospital.

The player also mentioned that he is currently not hospitalized and is only in self-isolation at home. This is because his health condition remains stable and no deterioration has been detected.
In an interview with InvenGlobal, LemonNation stated: “I still feel fine, just experiencing some mild cold symptoms and fatigue; overall, nothing too serious”. The owner of Radiance – the organization LemonNation is currently working for – also stated that other staff members will strictly adhere to home isolation after LemonNation confirmed his illness.

LemonNation is also the first case in the Esports community to be confirmed with Covid-19. The 31-year-old former player is known as a veteran member of the legendary Cloud9 lineup that dominated the LCS for three consecutive seasons, winning the LCS Summer 2013, LCS Spring 2014, and LCS Summer 2014.
Currently, he is one of the managers of Radiance – a semi-professional esports organization in North America. Despite the unfortunate circumstances of contracting the virus, LemonNation remains quite optimistic and reminds fans to be vigilant in preventing the spread of Covid-19.
