In recent days, after the tournaments have nearly concluded, the attention of the League of Legends community has shifted in a different direction. Specifically, several images related to the new champion Briar have surfaced on social media platforms like Twitter and Reddit. Although, at this point, Riot has not released much information about this champion, aside from a few character design images.
Accordingly, Briar is said to resemble a mischievous teenage girl with a gothic flair and appears rather… “crazy.” According to many assessments, Briar’s appearance can be imagined as a blend of Annie and Jinx with a gothic, spooky costume style. The mischievous and somewhat “crazy” personality of Jinx is prominently displayed in the image of Briar. Meanwhile, her face evokes many similarities to Annie.
Although Riot has yet to reveal anything about the new champion’s abilities, the League of Legends community believes Briar’s appearance in the image resembles a vampire. Therefore, perhaps one of this champion’s key abilities will relate to lifesteal or healing. It could be a passive ability or an activated skill that drains health based on the amount of damage dealt. However, no one knows whether Briar will fall into the Assassin, Mage, or some other “unique” category.
Recently, in hints about new champions, Riot also mentioned that Briar will come from Noxus. Therefore, she may have once been a Noxian champion who perished and then became the Briar of the present. Many players are also looking forward to Briar’s interactions with other Noxian champions. There is a rather harsh reality: at this moment, Noxian champions have somewhat fallen out of favor, including names like Talon and Sion. The appearance of Briar could remind the community that this land still exists in Summoner’s Rift.
Of course, the skills or images of Briar are still merely rumors within the community. Everything will only become clear when Riot decides to announce this new champion.
