Since its release, Vex has proven to be an incredibly strong and annoying champion in the Mid Lane. With the ability to fear and effectively counter high-mobility opponents, Vex can disrupt team fights and make enemies prone to mistakes. Perhaps for this reason, Vex is currently one of the most volatile picks in major tournaments like LPL and LCK Spring 2022.

It is unclear whether Vex is too strong or not, but players recently discovered that the E ability – Gloom of Sorrow of this champion has unexpectedly been “nerfed.” According to many players, when Vex uses this E skill, it does not deal any damage or trigger the Fear effect from enemies marked by its passive. Even when the “bug god” Vandiril tested it, he found that even when the E ability was not empowered by the passive, it still dealt no damage.
Essentially, after numerous tests, Vex’s E – Gloom of Sorrow only works when it is not empowered and used on enemies that are not marked. Clearly, this is a significant bug that greatly affects Vex’s gameplay, as it causes the combos from this champion to lose a lot of damage and effects. Combined with the fact that this champion typically uses the Electrocute rune, the damage loss for Vex is even greater.

With Vex being an important champion in professional League of Legends, this bug is really hard to accept. If it is not fixed promptly, it could affect the outcomes of crucial matches and negatively impact the tournament. We hope that Riot Games will soon address this issue as quickly as possible.
