Oner compares himself and Faker to a famous football superstar duo
In recent days, as tournaments have temporarily paused for players and teams to rest, fans can only connect with League of Legends superstars through interviews or fan meeting activities. T1 fans are no exception, but recently, the community of this team was left “screaming” when Oner compared himself and Faker to a famous pair of football stars.

Accordingly, Oner stated: “I feel like me and Faker are similar to Son Heung-min and Harry Kane. I think Faker is like a striker, so he would be like Kane. And when Son plays League of Legends, he plays in the jungle position like me, so I think me and Faker resemble Son and Kane.”
Clearly, Oner’s understanding of the once-superstar duo of Tottenham is quite limited, as he only recognizes Kane as a striker and Son who is already quite famous in his home country. He is also a pride of Asian football, being one of the rare players to assert his talent in the UK, as well as the captain of the Spurs.

T1 fans are “dismayed” by Oner’s comparison of himself and Faker
This is because, despite having a top duo in the world, Tottenham has never been able to secure any truly significant titles. They even came close to winning the Champions League, but then had a lackluster match against Liverpool, resulting in what could be considered a “meaningless” defeat.
However, T1 is the most title-rich team in League of Legends, as well as the greatest team. Therefore, many comments jokingly responded to Oner’s statement: “Actually, they are quite similar, except that Kane and Son have no titles.”

But nonetheless, Oner and Faker have performed their best in T1’s most crucial matches. And perhaps, just being the greatest team in League of Legends history highlights the biggest difference between the two top superstar duos in their respective sports.
