Recently, T1 released another promotional clip for their partner Samsung, and as usual, Faker was the indispensable face. The product being advertised this time is a virtual reality simulation application called Jump AR.
This application allows users to recreate images of virtual characters in vibrant 3D on their mobile screens. In T1’s promotional clip, Faker had a reunion with the champion Akali – one of the “victims” of the “God of nerf”.
Overall, Jump AR is not a groundbreaking technology product, as the trend of virtual reality has been around for many years, and many other mobile applications have allowed users to interact with virtual characters in similar ways.
However, what makes this promotional clip much more lively is Faker’s extremely awkward role-playing. At first, the Chairman appeared very surprised and shocked to see Akali in real life, and then he performed “very deeply” when dodging the champion’s scythe moves.

But humorously, Faker’s expression remained the same throughout; he only knew how to smile and did not convey the emotional nuances that the “director” required. It seems that the Chairman himself had to try hard to hold back laughter at his own “overacting”.

Witnessing this very amateurish yet incredibly funny advertisement, the fan community took the opportunity to roast Faker, commenting: “Faker may reach Challenger rank in League of Legends, but when it comes to acting, we’ll reluctantly rate him… Silver IV.”
