Recently, in the match against KT Rolster, Faker once again brought Orianna to face Bdd’s Azir. It is worth noting that Bdd is one of the mid-laners who has played Azir the most in LCK history. During the 2021 season, he even had moments where he played Azir at a level comparable to Faker. However, Faker still used Orianna and won against Bdd. To help KT take the lead in game 1, Faker and his teammates completed a spectacular comeback, winning 2-1 against the second strongest opponent in the three matches they have played since the start of LCK Spring 2024 so far.
Notably, it was Faker’s comments regarding the design of the Orianna skin. Specifically, he and Gumayusi provided the first hints about the appearance of the Worlds 2023 skin. Faker stated: “I have a lot of ideas about Orianna and I think the final product will be very good. I believe you will be looking forward to the official release of the skin. If I could reveal anything, I can only say that a lot of Korean cultural elements have been added to that skin.” Meanwhile, Gumayusi mentioned that the Jinx skin will have uniquely designed eyes and two-tone hair.
Of course, as Faker predicted, his revelations made many LCK fans excited. Besides the North Korean Ahri, this will likely be one of the skins that embodies Korean culture the most in the League of Legends scene. However, many fans immediately recalled that SKT T1/T1 has never really shown an aesthetic sense. In the past, Faker and his teammates have delivered Worlds skins that were not particularly outstanding. Admittedly, the graphics back then might have been a bit poor compared to today, but among all skin lines, only the SKT T1 2015 skin is truly the pinnacle among the three Worlds skins of SKT T1.

But no matter what, after a long time, Faker himself may have gained more experience in skin design consulting. With Faker’s revelations, his and T1’s fans, especially the locals, will surely be looking forward to the upcoming release of the Worlds 2023 skin. Especially if T1 can reclaim the LCK throne from Gen.G, it will be even more meaningful.
