The LCK Sunday Night talk show, after 13 episodes, has become an essential spiritual food for fans of the top League of Legends tournament in South Korea. This is not just a simple entertainment program; it also promises to bring many interesting stories, featuring guests who are currently competing in the LCK.
Finally, in the 14th episode aired on August 1st, the most anticipated guest of the show made an appearance – The Demon King Faker, along with his teammate Gumayusi from T1.

In the talk show lasting over an hour, Faker and Gumayusi shared many interesting stories about their life, training journey, and competitions of their team, as well as feelings about their former teammates whom they often encounter in the LCK.
There is quite an interesting statistic that currently, apart from T1, 8 out of the 9 remaining teams in the LCK have players who were once… former members of SKT or T1. One of the names being discussed a lot lately is Effort – the former support of T1 during the period from 2017 to 2020 (in roles as a trainee, substitute, and main player).
Effort himself is also a player quite close to Faker, and when mentioning their former teammate, both Gumayusi and Faker praised Effort for his progressive spirit and hard work.

The two T1 players reminisced about their former teammate while discussing the time Effort continuously practiced expanding his champion pool and improving his skills while wearing T1’s jersey:
Gumayusi: When Effort was here, I remember for a long time he only practiced Rakan’s W ability over and over.
Faker: He trained the entire W-Q combo of Alistar without stopping.
And as if seizing the opportunity, the show’s host immediately “added salt to the wound” of the two players by recalling the “painful memory” they recently experienced: “Oh, he practiced so much that he was able to steal your Baron, huh…”
The host’s “killer” remark left both Gumayusi and Faker speechless, with the young T1 marksman shyly admitting that “those who practice a skill repeatedly like Effort are truly scary,” while Faker appeared to feel “regret” for praising Effort so highly, forgetting that this former comrade just dealt him a painful blow in the professional arena.
In the match between T1 and Liiv SANDBOX during the LCK Summer 2021 group stage last week, Effort had a classic highlight moment when he used Alistar to steal Baron right in front of the T1 players.
This is considered an incredible Baron steal, as the damage from a support Alistar is extremely minimal, not to mention Effort faced the T1 lineup all alone at that time. Of course, besides the decisive handling of this player, the aforementioned highlight also benefited significantly from the carelessness of the T1 players.
Fortunately, the result of that match did not greatly affect T1’s chances of qualifying for the Playoffs, but surely their players, especially those who have fought alongside Effort like Faker, also felt quite “hurt” to be interrupted in their winning streak by a former “comrade.”
