Faker Remains at the Top of Solo-Kill Rankings at the World Championship Despite Only Participating in 5 Out of 10 Previous Events

In fact, among the names expected at Worlds 2021, only Scout and Jensen can compete with Faker.

The 2021 World Championship is set to be an exciting event, featuring nearly all of the top talents from various League of Legends regions. The only notable absence, if any, might be the likes of the “national circus” G2 Esports or representatives from the VCS region, which has always brought surprises to the international League of Legends community.

And the players participating in the Worlds will undoubtedly deliver top-tier performances, with Faker likely receiving the most attention from the audience as usual. The simple reason is that at this moment, he is the only player here who has won 3 World Championship titles, and he is now 25 years old—Faker’s time is running out. Everyone understands, more than anyone else, that Faker hopes to secure his fourth championship trophy before retiring.

In addition to his talent and overwhelming number of titles, Faker possesses an incredibly impressive statistic that other players competing against him should be wary of: in the history of the World Championship, Faker has the most solo kills with 30 kills. The names that follow him are Caps (25 kills), CuVee (22), Scout (21), Xiye (20), and both Impact and Jensen with 19 kills.

Among the names trailing behind, only Scout and Jensen can compete with Faker, and Scout will have the chance to face off directly against the “Demon King.” After witnessing these statistics, fans are certainly looking forward to the highlight solo kills from both players.

If we exclude the yet-to-begin 2021 World Championship, Faker has only participated in the world’s largest tournament 5 times, yet he has managed to set numerous records and achieve both personal and team success, becoming the greatest player in the tournament’s history.

In professional matches, especially at major tournaments like the World Championship, the importance of each game forces players to play more carefully, focusing intensely on every movement and play. However, one thing is certain: solo kills not only create highlights that linger in the minds of fans but can also provide strategic and morale advantages for the team, helping the entire squad to focus more and feel more energized to achieve the ultimate victory.
