Last year, Faker had a memorable birthday celebrating at MSI in Vietnam and Taiwan, but this year, his birthday on May 7th was a bit simpler, as the MSI tournament was canceled and South Koreans were still advised to stay indoors. However, being a simple person, our T1 captain still knows how to find joy while celebrating his birthday at home (actually at the Gaming House).

Just after the clock struck midnight on May 7th (around 10 PM on May 6th in Vietnam, due to a 2-hour time difference with Korea), Faker went live on stream and spent over 3 hours interacting and celebrating his birthday with fans.
But the funniest part was that Faker came up with a birthday celebration unlike any other. After a ranked game to warm up, the Chairman unexpectedly created a practice room and decided to break the rules… by using the Surprise Party Fiddlesticks skin, continuously spamming his ultimate and even clapping for himself to celebrate his birthday.
His extravagant welcoming of a new age made fans and viewers burst into laughter, praising him with comments like “A true genius knows how to show off,” because how could an ordinary person think of such a unique way to celebrate?
Even though he said he was breaking the rules to use a skin, in reality, he only used it in the practice room and remained resolute not to break his principle of “only using default skins in matches.”

During last night’s stream, Faker also received a lot of donations from fans, to the point where he could hardly communicate much, except for thanking the audience throughout the 3 hours.
After the birthday celebration, Faker organized a few small custom games to play with the lucky fans chosen, and then he continued his journey of grinding the Korean rank. On his 25th birthday, Hide on Bush once again succeeded in conquering the Challenger rank in Korea; this achievement is definitely greater than the LCK championship that Faker just won, because trophies are won almost every year, but reaching Challenger takes a long time.
