Faker has many hardcore fans with “high-quality profiles”
As one of the most long-standing players in the League of Legends scene today, and also the only one considered deserving of the title “G.O.A.T of League of Legends,” it’s no surprise that Faker has the largest fanbase in the world. Notably, among Faker’s fans, there are quite a few individuals with impressive profiles that rival their idol. Recently, Faker has “added” a very special character to his fan club, none other than Noah Lyles – the Gold Medalist of the Paris Olympics in the men’s 100m event.

Who is Faker’s new hardcore fan?
In a recent interview with World Athletics, when asked about the athlete he admires and follows regularly, the “golden legs” of American athletics did not hesitate to confirm: “I am an Esports gamer, especially League of Legends. Faker is the player I follow regularly. I do play League of Legends, but watching him compete is like how a regular person would watch me run. That’s the difference between the two sides. And watching him play is truly amazing.”

At nearly the same age (Faker was born in 1996, Noah Lyles in 1997), both figures are making a significant mark in their respective fields. Noah Lyles’ Gold Medal is the first Olympic Gold for American athletics in the men’s 100m event in 20 long years. Meanwhile, Faker is still the most accomplished player in the League of Legends scene and the only player with 4 World Championship titles. Faker’s career has also inspired many figures in sports and entertainment in South Korea and across the globe. Western media even hailed Faker as the “Michael Jordan of League of Legends.”

At present, Faker and T1 are facing quite a few challenges in their pursuit of the Summer 2024 championship and a spot at the World Championship thereafter. However, many fans still place their trust in T1 and Faker, especially since last year they also rose to the throne in an equally challenging and underappreciated context like this season.
