Faker Explains His “Godly” Moment at Worlds 2024
One of the most crucial moments of the Worlds 2024 finals was when Faker, playing Sylas, stole Rakan’s ultimate from ON and then Flash engaged the entire enemy team, setting the stage for T1 to win the fight. That outstanding display from Faker significantly contributed to T1’s victory in the match and ultimately secured the championship for T1.

However, in a recent stream, Faker revealed that his use of the Flash – Rakan ultimate combo during the match was actually a “missed information” moment. According to him, he had to expend all his resources, including a Flash, because someone on the team reported that the enemy still had Flash available.

“I’m not sure who checked their summoner spells (BLG), but there was a miscommunication. Someone said they all had Flash left. If not, I wouldn’t have had to use mine,” Faker explained.
In Reality, Faker Would Still Need Flash
That was a fight that could be considered decisive for the entire match. And perhaps, Faker is just reassessing the game from a “god’s perspective.” Because the enemy still had many tools to create crowd control. If Faker hadn’t used Flash to ensure a successful initiation, no one knows what would have happened afterward.

Additionally, a situation that required utilizing all possible resources brought a meaningful victory for T1, further highlighting Faker’s brilliant performance in the Worlds 2024 finals. This also paved the way for him to achieve FMVP in the match, making him the first player to earn FMVP twice in the history of Worlds as well as League of Legends.
