In 2023, one of the things that League of Legends fans worldwide, especially in Korea, have been eagerly anticipating has come true: Chovy and Faker could actually become teammates. This possibility arises as the two of the most talented Mid Laners in the LCK are set to be part of the lineup for the Hangzhou ASIAD. It can be said that witnessing the interactions between these two talented players from consecutive generations is a rare occurrence, especially since Faker and Chovy are also direct competitors for titles in the LCK and international tournaments.

However, as the Pre-Season 2024 phase begins, regions are preparing for Pre-Season events, and fans might witness Faker and Chovy become teammates once again. Specifically, the LCK is planning to host a welcome event for the new season, which will include a showmatch between players. In this event, players in the same position will be grouped into the same team. This means that Faker and Chovy will have the opportunity to become teammates once more. Besides them, other names such as Bdd, Zeka, and ShowMaker are also expected to participate.

However, in reality, besides the big names like Faker and Chovy, LCK fans are looking forward to another player, namely Keria. Known for his extensive champion pool, Keria even ranked in both Mid Lane and ADC. Some fans believe that Keria will use this opportunity to showcase how well he can play in either role.

Additionally, there are concerns about the players having too little time to rest, especially T1. This is because T1 has a packed schedule until the end of the year, leaving them only about 10 days to relax before the Pre-Season event. Not long ago, Faker showed that his hand has issues if he plays continuously or encounters harsh weather. However, currently, the LCK has not announced whether all players are required to participate. If attendance is not mandatory, Faker might be able to take a break.

Nevertheless, this schedule is unchangeable. And perhaps we can only hope that Faker or any participating players won’t have to “try hard” too much and will compete in the spirit of a showmatch event.
