Zeus may achieve all titles but will still struggle compared to Faker
Recently, Zeus has won yet another title. While many fans may debate the legitimacy of First Stand 2025, it is undeniable that after leaving T1 and stepping out of Faker’s “embrace”, Zeus is still on the rise. In fact, media and spectators are even envisioning the scenario where Zeus wins MSI 2025, completing the trophy collection that an LCK player could dream of, and becoming great just after Faker.

However, this is actually very difficult. No one denies Zeus’s professional talent and it can be asserted: he is currently one of the most comprehensive Top Laners in professional League of Legends. However, things would still be fine if Zeus just focused on playing. Moreover, surrounding him are talented teammates who are among the best in their respective positions at this time.
No one has seen HLE drop in performance like T1 did before the 2023 and 2024 World Championships, and it may be hard to witness that, as HLE currently appears very balanced. But the first factor for Zeus to prove he is truly great, as HLE fans hope, is: during the period when his team struggles and there is no leader like Faker, can Zeus showcase his true self?

Next, what makes a great Faker is not only the titles or performances during matches, but also the influence on the team and the professional League of Legends scene. After many successes, Zeus’s fan base is certainly growing. But at HLE, the most influential voice right now is undoubtedly Peanut. And it is “Little Bean” who takes on the main calls of the team, allowing Zeus, Zeka, and Viper to shine.

Zeus can build his own great path but will never compare to Faker
Of course, no one requires Zeus to be both a good player and a great team leader. Instances like MaRin or Faker are “rare gems” in the League of Legends community. Moreover, Zeus is still very young and has plenty of time ahead of him. But it would be more reasonable for the “Thunder God” to build a different great path for himself, such as winning all the titles in 2025.

And the audience should also hope for Zeus to be great in his own way, rather than becoming a “great player after Faker.” Because Faker’s position is one that no League of Legends player has reached and perhaps will never reach.
