According to the schedule from T1 and the organizers of the 2021 World Championship, all four LCK teams arrived in Iceland early this morning and have started resting and practicing to prepare for the biggest League of Legends tournament in the world.
Of course, this “practice” routine must include participating in the Western Europe League of Legends server to experience the quality of the connection and the unique gaming style here. Currently, all players have been given accounts and are climbing ranks to “warm up,” with Faker being no exception.

And as it is, when your region welcomes the appearance of the greatest legend in history, European League of Legends gamers cannot miss the opportunity to “interact with their idol.” Thus, a campaign called “Hunting Faker” has taken place across Europe.
On the streaming platform Twitch, a series of popular European League of Legends streamers have put Faker in their titles to… attract views, and over the past 24 hours, their streams have revolved around ranked matches in search of Faker’s identity. Some channels even saw a spike in views thanks to the luck of finding Faker.

Witnessing the chase for the Demon King by the European League of Legends community, Vietnamese fans cannot help but reminisce about the equally “grand” memories of T1’s captain on the Vietnamese server.
It was a time when talents from around the globe, from Faker to TheShy, Rookie, Khan, Jankos, Perkz, Caps… gathered on the Vietnamese League of Legends server to participate in the 2019 MSI, which we co-hosted. And with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the world’s top stars, how could it be missed? The Vietnamese League of Legends community has never experienced such joyful and lively days, with everyone from Diamond rank and above waiting in-game 24/7, continuously searching for matches to hope to encounter Faker or any other star.

Unfortunately for the Demon King and his teammates, matches featuring him nearly lost any professional aspect. In some games, the opposing team disregarded winning or losing and pulled five players to the mid lane to “greet” Faker, and in one match, Faker even had to quit the game because he was camped so heavily that he couldn’t breathe, while his teammates just… watched, not bothering to help, just to see how the Demon King “carries all.”

Facing such hilarious situations, Faker and his teammates still shared that their tournament experience in Vietnam was incredibly interesting. Especially Teddy, who declared himself a fan of Vietnamese pho, and whenever he has the chance to eat this dish (original pho, not a modified version), he must eat two bowls to satisfy his craving.
The only concern is how long it will be until Vietnamese League of Legends fans can enjoy that feeling again, especially when the VCS remains an attractively competitive region that draws a lot of attention from international enthusiasts.
