The DRX Homefront Event of the LCK Roadshow is Receiving All Bad News
At the beginning of the year, when the LCK Roadshow announced that DRX would choose Vietnam as its “home base,” few Vietnamese League of Legends fans thought that this event could stir controversy and show signs of becoming a failed program as it is now. From being eagerly anticipated, the Vietnamese League of Legends community in general, and LCK fans in Vietnam in particular, are turning to disappointment. Recently, the DRX Homefront has continued to cause controversy by announcing the guests of the program.

Accordingly, in the latest information, the DRX Homefront program, in addition to the usual matches and audience interactions, will feature performances by singers from Korea combined with Vietnamese artists. However, from here, the issue has been pointed out by Vietnamese League of Legends fans: the expensive ticket prices previously announced may also include this musical performance.

However, a subsequent issue has been pointed out: fans of League of Legends teams will find it very difficult to be excited about the musical performances, while fans of the artists coming to sing may not necessarily be interested in the players gaming. And there is a clear fact that, up to now, the number of Early Bird tickets for the DRX Homefront is still in a state of stagnation, with no significant signs of improvement.

This Will Be a “Slap” to LCK’s Market Expansion Ambitions
With the organization of the LCK Roadshow in Vietnam, the LCK in general and DRX in particular do not hide their ambition to expand their influence in this promising market. However, the ill-considered moves are putting the LCK’s plans at risk of collapse.
In reality, Vietnamese League of Legends fans show great interest in the LCK. But to attend an event with “sky-high” ticket prices, unless the “main characters” are view-grabbing teams like T1 or Gen.G, HLE… otherwise, all others do not easily attract the audience from the VCS region.
