The health of League of Legends players is receiving much more attention, especially in the context of Uzi’s retirement and Jackeylove’s inability to compete in the first week of LPL due to health issues. However, in his latest statements, Doinb, the 2019 World Champion, declared that he would sacrifice his health for victory, causing extreme concern among fans.
Doinb shared about his training schedule – “I will watch replays of other teams from 11 PM to 2 AM, then play ranked until 4 or 5 AM. My health? I don’t care much about it. That’s not the issue. Winning the games is the issue. I only care about how to win. To do that, I have to sleep less and practice more.”
“I need to play well if my teammates are not performing at their best, and vice versa. My teammates need to play explosively on the days I’m not performing well. We simply need to practice harder.”

Doinb also shared more about his plans to help FPX return to their winning ways.
“I need to expand my champion pool. Perhaps I don’t have enough knowledge about the current patch. That’s why I need to watch other teams play as well. Did we lose because of champion bans? No, I don’t think so. The same champion can win for another team while we lose. Clearly, this is a problem for our entire team.”

Doinb’s comments have understandably worried fans, as there has been much concerning news about the health of players over the past month. It is indeed the pressure of performance and glory that drives Doinb to push himself so hard, but sacrificing health, which is very difficult to regain, for victory is a steep price to pay.

I think Doinb’s lack of sleep is affecting his performance and his understanding of the new patch is deteriorating.
The ability to learn and draw conclusions is directly affected by sleep and health. I believe Doinb would take less time to understand the new patch if he slept more.
A healthy body leads to a relaxed mind.

I think that if Doinb watches replays all night, the chances of understanding the match will decrease compared to watching a few games and then going to sleep. In sleep, the brain clears out unnecessary information and rethinks what is necessary.
People don’t care about their health until they get sick and realize how bad it is.
It seems that coaches need to make Doinb take a break; that’s the quickest way for a gamer to get hurt and ruin their bodies and health.

Funplus Phoenix entered the 2020 Summer LPL as one of the tournament’s championship contenders; however, they suffered a disappointing result, losing to LNG Esports 1-2. Perhaps the wounded pride has forced Doinb into such a rigorous training schedule.
