Recently, the Chinese League of Legends community was taken aback when they witnessed the Invictus Gaming (IG) Gaming house being visited by the police. After the incident, a representative from IG reassured fans, revealing that the reason for the police visit was due to complaints from nearby residents about the IG players continuously making noise and disturbing the peace late at night, affecting the daily lives of the surrounding households.
Efeng, the manager of IG, later revealed the reason behind this incident. He mentioned that he had anticipated that “sooner or later, this day would come.” Efeng also shared that IG initially intended to rent a private villa, which used to be the old headquarters of EDG, as their Gaming house, but after surveying, they found this location “beyond their budget,” so they ultimately sought a place in a residential area for a cheaper rent.
The manager of IG also affirmed that making noise was unavoidable, especially since the players’ lifestyle rhythm was in stark contrast to that of ordinary people. However, the problem arose because they did not have a Gaming house isolated from residential areas, which led to this situation.

Efeng’s revelations immediately caused great panic among the community. Because it is one thing to say, but to claim that IG – the Esports organization of the wealthy heir Wang Zuting – is lacking funds to afford a private Gaming house is truly a story that sounds like a joke.
But upon reflection, this is not an impossible situation. Essentially, although Wang Zuting is labeled as a “second-generation rich kid,” he has also encountered several business failures, at one point having to return home to ask his mother for help. IG is a heartfelt asset of Wang Zuting, unrelated to the family business, so if this young heir faces business setbacks leading to IG’s financial depletion, it is quite reasonable.

The League of Legends community in China can only feel sympathy for IG’s current situation, as they have not only just gone through a disastrous season, facing the risk of losing numerous stars, but the financial difficulties of this team have also been revealed.
Recently, rumors have circulated about IG preparing to make a big splash by acquiring superstar Chovy, but this was immediately denied by the South Korean media. Looking at the financial situation of this team, it seems that this deal is unlikely to become a reality.
