A “Prodigy” Emerges in CS:GO
While the League of Legends community has wrapped up the season following T1’s championship victory at the 2024 World Championship, several other Esports tournaments are just now reaching their final stages. Specifically, on the evening of December 15th (Vietnam time), the CS:GO community concluded the last Major of 2024 – the Perfect World Major Shanghai 2024, with Team Spirit crowned as the champions.

Notably, young player Donk, in his debut year, has already secured his third championship title and has been voted FMVP (Finals Most Valuable Player) for the third time. This is an impressive achievement for a player in his debut year. In fact, many legends of CS:GO and other Esports disciplines have not achieved what Donk has in their debut years, with the exception of Faker.

Fans Draw Parallels to Faker After CS:GO Gains a “Prodigy”
With Donk’s accomplishments, many fans of both CS:GO and League of Legends are drawing comparisons to Faker. Both have won championships in the highest-level tournaments in their respective games during their first year of professional play. The biggest difference might be that while Faker had four equally talented teammates around him, Donk often found himself in situations where he had to “carry the team.”
Many opinions even suggest that if Donk can maintain his performance in the long run, it is entirely possible for him to become the G.O.A.T of CS:GO.

However, the challenge is not just for Donk to maintain peak performance, but to prove his influence over time. The G.O.A.T of CS:GO, or any other game, is not only about titles but also about having a unique and significant impact that resonates widely.

It would be quite unfair to compare Donk with Faker. However, perhaps in the future, this young player could truly create surprises that leave the CS:GO and Esports community in awe.
