In the digital age, “Building the Nation” does not only stop at grand projects or major decisions, but sometimes it starts from small, simple actions that carry practical values.

The talk show “Building the Nation – Screen and Internet Connection has brought close perspectives from three guests: Mr. Đinh Ngọc Sơn – Secretary of the Party Cell of Residential Area 9, Cầu Giấy Ward, streamer Hoàng Văn Khoa (Pew Pew) and technology reviewer Ngô Đức Duy (Duy Thẩm) about the issue of nation-building through content creation in cyberspace.
Spreading Digital Content from Small Things
Pew Pew – one of the pioneering faces in Vietnam’s livestreaming scene – shared that young people do not necessarily have to chase “viral” content to get noticed. “Some people just need to post about their neighborhood, the riverside, the fields or mountains. Or introduce local specialties from their area, city, or hometown, and that alone is already something very different” – he said. For Pew Pew, social media is a “cultural window” for every young person to showcase their local images not only to friends at home but also to international friends.

Perseverance is the key. Simple clips like a bowl of crab noodle soup, a familiar street corner can also become the foundation for the homeland to be known widely, thereby contributing to the country’s journey of progress. Gradually, from this kind of content, young people will be known to many, and will “go viral” in their own way.
Useful Content is More Important Than Instant Effects
Meanwhile, Duy Thẩm – a technology reviewer known for his candidness and approachability – emphasized: “You can definitely make a clickbait video and get a lot of attention overnight. But how people know and remember you, and how you can develop from that content is a completely different story.”

He encourages young people to choose the path of creating sustainable value instead of chasing short-term trends. A video guiding parents to use VNeID, warning about online scams, or simply sharing technology experiences for the elderly can all become memorable content. “If you bring negative value, the community will see you through a negative lens. Therefore, you should spread positive and useful content” – Duy Thẩm emphasized.
Culture is the Foundation of Creation
From another perspective, Mr. Đinh Ngọc Sơn added a profound view: “Building the nation must come from a cultural foundation. Technology not only connects within the nation but also brings cultural values to the outside world, meaning it has a global significance.”

Mr. Sơn expressed concern about useless trends and inappropriate content spreading across cyberspace, especially when the receiving audience consists of elementary and middle school students. According to him, technology is a tool for globalizing the cultural values of the nation, and young people need to take responsibility in every video, every post to spread the best things.
The talk show concluded with three meaningful messages for young people wanting to start in the field of content creation in cyberspace. For Pew Pew, it is an encouragement to start from the smallest, most familiar things. For Duy Thẩm, it emphasizes sustainable value and caution in the digital environment. For Mr. Sơn, it is about the cultural foundation – which can be viewed as the “glue” that connects and spreads the country’s image to the world.
From a technology class for the elderly, from a video introducing local specialties, or a clip warning about online scams, the journey of building the nation has been materialized through very simple actions. As the guests affirmed: every smartphone, every positive piece of content can become a small brick in building a better future for Vietnam.
