At the moment, it seems that the employees of Riot Games are still working from home, as seen in videos like the gameplay introduction for League of Legends: Wild Rift, where they are filming separately instead of together as usual. One of the specialties of Riot employees when working online is “coding” champions from League of Legends and making them incredibly powerful, especially Nautilus.

The last time we saw something like this was about two months ago, when Riot teased the Zyra Dark Sorceress skin. At that time, Riot August performed a “magic trick” that allowed the Rebellious Thorn woman to summon up to …. 6 Nautilus instead of trees. Prior to that, there were instances of Nautilus pulling the entire map, with the hitbox of the anchor being as wide as a lane… all created by Riot employees during their free time.
Just when it seemed that this joke was becoming stale and they would stop doing it, Riot August once again brought it back with a new target: the Marksmen. Specifically, he transformed Jhin from a fragile champion who could only stand back and use his skills into a terrifying shapeshifter, where the fourth bullet from his ultimate ability, Curtain Call, allows him to transform into a bullet, rush towards the target, and turn into Nautilus.

In patch 10.11, Marksmen (including Jhin, of course) received a comprehensive buff; however, many believe that it did not truly improve the state of this class of champions. In fact, champions that are not even Marksmen, like Yasuo for instance, turned out to be the ones who benefitted the most, leading to even more complaints from those who love this role.

Hopefully, Riot Games will find a reasonable way to further buff Marksmen in the near future, of course not with the overwhelming ability that Riot August came up with during one of those “coding shenanigans”.
