Chovy Admits His Inherent Weakness
In the end-of-year 2024 transfer window, a surprising factor was that Chovy signed a contract lasting up to 3 years with Gen.G – the MSI champion, and currently, it can be seen as the team he has been with the longest. This is quite special as many players nowadays tend to sign contracts for around 2 years or “1+1” deals to avoid being tied down and affected.

In a recent interview, Chovy shared about this decision. He stated: “I feel that Gen.G treats me better than any other team. And there is no team that makes me trust like Gen.G.”
However, Chovy also admitted that he has an inherent weakness that has affected his performance over the years: “I think my psychological weakness is improving day by day. And I am confident I will perform better in the coming years.”

Fans Express Frustration with Chovy
But in reality, many fans do not accept this sharing from Chovy. “He has been playing for nearly 7 years in his career, and he still wants to improve his psychological issues year after year?” a fan expressed confusion.
Another opinion stated: “It would be reasonable if this statement came from a player like Peyz or even Zeus. But this is Chovy – who debuted in 2018, has experienced ups and downs and is familiar with international tournaments, yet his best achievement is still only the semifinals, which is really problematic.”

Clearly, Chovy’s performance in any tournament may have improved compared to before, but the World Championship remains a significant challenge for this player. While even mid-laners who are on par or even less compared to him (Zeka, ShowMaker) have at least won once, Chovy is still at square one.
He has never even stepped into a final despite participating fully in all World Championships since his debut. For a player like Chovy, this is hard to accept. And the problem lies with Chovy himself as his teammates are almost always changed every year.
