New developments regarding the investigation into fraudulent behavior, betting participation, and match-fixing in the second-tier League of Legends tournament in China – LDL, continue to unfold rigorously. Riot China and the LPL organizing committee have conducted an investigation into all organizations participating in the tournament, as well as players who have previously been present at LDL (including those who have moved to other tournaments like LPL or gone abroad…).

According to sources from the Chinese online community, the expansion of the investigation into the entire LDL tournament will lead to many “tainted” organizations, as well as numerous professional League of Legends players in China being exposed for participating in betting, match-fixing, and fraud.
The informant also stated that the investigation’s results will be worse than what the audience can imagine, and the number of “dirty” players and teams will be significantly large. Not only LDL, but the LPL has also been investigated and discovered several cases involved in similar actions.

Former IG player – Ning, once shared that the LPL organizing committee would be ready to initiate investigations as soon as suspicious negative behavior from players is detected. However, according to the aforementioned sources, this time, the investigation will be comprehensive, meaning all organizations and players within the LPL – LDL tournament system will be on the interrogation list.
Currently, the LDL tournament has been indefinitely suspended due to match-fixing, fraud, and betting involvement by organizations being uncovered. The incident involving Bo is one of the catalysts leading to this shocking scandal, as many players currently competing in the LPL have previously played for youth teams in LDL, and if the investigation results are accurate, many names could be implicated.
