Hello Bao My, can you introduce yourself a bit more?
Surely those who frequently watch streams know My, right? For those new to me, hello, I am Bao My. Right now, I am a streamer and an actress. Maybe, just maybe, I will also sing soon.
Singing seems to be a great passion for Bao My, right?
Of course, I really love singing; music is an essential part of my life.
Can you share a bit about your happy and sad memories when starting your career as a streamer/actress?
Honestly, I don’t remember much because I don’t often think about the past; I prefer to think about what I will do. Perhaps the happiest moment was the first time I received a gift from a fan. How should I put it, it was the first time, so I felt very happy (laughs).
Currently, Bao My is doing two jobs at once, being a streamer and an actress. Which one do you prefer? Why?
I am doing both, so I can’t say I like one more than the other. There are times when I find it a bit challenging with this or that job. However, the profession chooses the person, while I choose to love what comes to me. So I will say I like both!
Everyone knows that streamers sometimes have to deal with less-than-positive feedback from viewers. How do you handle those criticisms? Have you ever felt pressure from your current jobs?
In the early days, even before becoming a streamer, I was very excited when my movie aired. However, when reading negative comments, it really took me a long time to accept that. Now, when I receive less-than-positive feedback from viewers or even fans, I reflect on myself; if I haven’t done anything wrong, I will ignore those comments. If I have, then I will improve.
Before deciding to pursue this path, did you see it as a passion or a job? Singing also originates from your passion, right?
I have a lot of things I want to do; if I get the chance, I will do them all in order. Perhaps I will soon try my hand at singing. As for whether it’s a passion or a job, it’s hard to say. It’s not about what I see it as, but whether I can turn it into a job. That requires more than just an opportunity. If possible, I want it to be my job, meaning I can sing seriously. Because the word ‘passion’ sounds like a list of things you will never do.
Being both a streamer and an actress, and also the owner of a clothing shop, what does your daily routine look like?
Every day, I will do the things I do well, such as acting or streaming, and the tasks I am not specialized in, I will delegate to someone I trust. So even with an additional clothing shop, my daily routine isn’t too different from before.
What do your loved ones, such as family, friends, and significant other, think about your career as a streamer/actress?
I have always been independent, which is my responsibility and also part of my personality. So I am lucky that everyone around me, like family and friends, respects the decisions or jobs I love. I feel very happy about that.
