Just a few days ago, the Vietnamese League of Legends community was buzzing with news that a Korean YouTuber specializing in the Jungle role unexpectedly announced on his YouTube channel that he is preparing to join the VCS as a professional player for Cerberus Esports.

The YouTuber’s exact post reads: “Hello, this is Blue Leash. I will be participating in the VCS and joining CES as a professional player. However, I will still stream and upload videos regularly. I’m off now. See you all when I arrive in Vietnam and get to the team. Everyone, let’s do our best!”

This information has recently been confirmed by a major fan page in the Vietnamese League of Legends community, truly stirring up excitement among fans. The Korean player Jeong “Leash” Tae-gyun is set to join CES as a Jungler. Currently, both parties have reached an agreement on all matters, and this player has also arrived in Vietnam. CES is in the process of securing a work permit for Leash, allowing him to compete in the VCS. It is expected that this foreign player will make his debut for “Cerberus” in the Summer Split 2022.

Unlike the first foreign import, Poss, there is quite limited information about Leash in the media. It is known that this player has been out of professional play for over three years and frequently streams. Nevertheless, Leash’s skills are highly regarded as he consistently maintains a Master and Challenger rank on the Korean League of Legends server. Additionally, the jungle guides shared by Leash on his YouTube channel are well-received by the community for their high level of expertise.

The last time Leash played professionally was in the Summer of 2018. At that time, he was teammates with Poss under REVERSE Gaming. This team participated in Challengers Korea, the second-tier League of Legends league in Korea. In that season, both Poss and Leash faced off against DAMWON Gaming, featuring Nuguri and Showmaker, twice. This was also the season where DK earned promotion to the LCK in 2019. Subsequently, ShowMaker and his teammates gradually became a dominant force in Korea before winning the 2020 World Championship and continuing to completely dominate the LCK in the 2021 season.

After that fateful season, Poss continued his journey in the LPL with Team WE, while Leash parted ways with the professional scene. Now, nearly four years later, this duo has the chance to reunite under the CES banner.

Although CES has a very promising Phuc1 along with the return of EGO, the move to recruit Leash demonstrates CES’s ambition for the Summer Split and their goal for the 2022 World Championship. While the skill level of this Korean newcomer remains a question mark, with his experience and mindset from one of the top League of Legends scenes in the world, Leash will undoubtedly be a name that CES fans and the VCS community will be eagerly anticipating in the near future.
