If you have been following the series Arcane, you may have noticed that since Chapter II, Caitlyn, along with Vi and Jayce, are among the most crucial characters driving the story forward. Moreover, the development of this character is incredibly convincing as she transforms from a girl trying to escape her parents’ protection into someone willing to sacrifice herself to protect the innocent. As a result, after the series concluded, Caitlyn gained many new fans.

That’s Caitlyn’s story in the Arcane series, but in League of Legends, this character has become significantly stronger in Season 12. With the reworked Conqueror rune, Caitlyn has gained an incredibly powerful tool to perform better in lane and maintain a comfortable position in team fights. Furthermore, the changes to the Teleport spell also allow strong marksmen like Caitlyn to shine brightly in both solo queue and professional tournaments.

It’s unclear whether Riot feels Caitlyn is not strong enough or if they want one of their main characters from Arcane to stand out more, which is why they added this new powerful feature for her. Specifically, according to the “bug master” Vandiril’s discovery, Caitlyn now has the ability to reset her ultimate ability extremely quickly with a cooldown of only 5 seconds.
If you didn’t know, when Caitlyn uses her ultimate, Ace in the Hole, and it gets interrupted, the ability is blocked. However, when interrupted in this way, Caitlyn’s Ace in the Hole will have a 5-second cooldown before she can cast it again. Yet, somehow, Riot has allowed Caitlyn’s ultimate to not get interrupted even when she is affected by Fear. Thus, League of Legends still counts it as Caitlyn being interrupted and sets Ace in the Hole’s cooldown to 5 seconds.
Clearly, this is quite unreasonable as Caitlyn can still cast her ultimate even while affected by Fear. Normally, if she can use her ultimate, it should have a standard cooldown time, but instead, it only has a 5-second cooldown due to a miscalculation in League of Legends. As a result, as seen in the video above, Caitlyn can unleash two Ace in the Hole abilities in a very short time and easily take down opponents.
