As we know, recently, the VCS organizing committee and Riot announced the temporary suspension of the tournament to investigate the heavy corruption allegations weighing on the Vietnamese League of Legends. Notably, this case is considered very serious, possibly unprecedented in the history of Vietnamese Esports, as there are too many individuals suspected of being involved, affecting entire teams rather than just a few individuals. Therefore, the community has been eagerly waiting for the latest news from the VCS and Riot.

After 10 days since the suspension announcement, the VCS organizing committee has made a new announcement. Accordingly, the VCS and Riot have released a list of individuals and groups suspended from participating in all esports activities of Riot Games, including official tournaments or those organized by third parties. Almost all teams in the VCS have individuals related to the case to some extent. As previously reported, those who have confirmed they are not involved (such as Noway) or were “cleared of rumors” are not included. However, there are still surprising names like Artifact, Blazes, and Pyshiro (GAM Esports), and notably, Gloryy (Team Whales).

Notably, Gloryy is a player on the Vietnamese League of Legends team for the Hangzhou ASIAD and is regarded as one of the best Mid Laners in the tournament currently. Many VCS fans even hoped that GAM would recruit Gloryy to replace Kati when Kati underperformed at MSI 2023. Meanwhile, Pyshiro and Blazes are two rookies of GAM who have received much praise since joining this team.

However, the above names are still only under investigation and suspended from participating in Esports, with no final verdict yet. Therefore, the audience needs to stay alert and follow official news sources from the VCS and Riot to avoid being influenced by unfounded rumors.
