As we know, Baron is an extremely important objective on the map. Taking down Baron grants you a powerful buff and makes attacking the opponent’s base more effective and increases your chances of winning. Therefore, theoretically, Baron is an enemy to both the Blue and Red teams in League of Legends and does not side with either.

However, recently, the “bug saint” Vandiril discovered that Baron unexpectedly becomes an ally to players in a way no one could have anticipated. Normally, if a player is taken down by Baron, they will be notified that they were slain by this objective and will not receive any resources. However, recently, Baron has been bugged, allowing players to receive both gold and experience, even shut down gold when “self-destructing” here.
As mentioned above, this bug may stem from League of Legends considering Baron an enemy of both teams. When a player is taken down by Baron but there is an enemy champion nearby (who has not interacted with the champion), the game concludes that this kill should reward gold. Clearly, Baron cannot be awarded gold since it does not use any, resulting in League of Legends calculating the kill and shut down gold for the player who just “self-destructed”.

This bug can be considered extremely serious as it can be exploited to “self-destruct” while still receiving gold, creating a significant imbalance in the match. Moreover, this glitch can also cause considerable frustration for opponents when a kill that was so close is snatched away, and yet the opponent gains money while they receive nothing.
Hopefully, Riot Games will soon recognize this bug and take action to fix it as soon as possible. Allowing players to exploit it to rank up quickly would be nothing short of a disaster for League of Legends.
