As previously reported, today, June 3rd, the legendary player of Royal Never Give Up – Uzi has officially retired. As one of the longest-standing names in professional League of Legends and recognized as the greatest ADC in the world, Uzi’s farewell to his competitive career has left countless regrets for the international gaming community.

Right after receiving this news, prominent figures in the professional League of Legends scene have begun to send their wishes to Uzi, hoping he finds much luck with his new endeavors post-retirement. One of the most notable names is Bang – the former ADC of SKT T1, who is currently playing for EG and has also been one of the biggest rivals that Uzi faced on his path to glory.

On his personal Twitter, Bang sent a farewell message to Uzi:

“We had many exciting moments facing each other, and it’s sad that we can’t meet again in professional arenas. You have worked hard to maintain peak performance for many years. Therefore, you always deserve respect. Goodbye.”

Bang and Uzi are two ADCs with almost completely opposite styles, yet they are always compared to each other, along with the high-stakes clashes between the two powers representing China and Korea: Royal Never Give Up and SKT T1.

During their peak periods, Bang often emerged victorious in team matchups against Uzi; however, even the former T1 ADC has admitted multiple times that Uzi is indeed the greatest ADC of all time.

Although he did not win any World Championship titles, Uzi’s caliber is indisputable. The role of “carrying the team” for the ADC position was somewhat defined by Uzi’s spectacular plays from the time he was only 16 or 17 years old.

“The Great Runner-Up” is the nickname that fans around the world have given to Uzi, and as a former rival with a storied history, Bang has sent heartfelt and sincere farewell words to Uzi.

Bang himself will likely continue to compete professionally for many more years, but it’s unfortunate that he will no longer have the chance to meet again with the formidable rival who created many epic showdowns in the past.
