From being one of the most powerful teams in League of Legends in South Korea, Griffin has literally “broken down” after a series of backstage scandals at the end of the 2019 season, causing their talented roster to disband.
One by one, Chovy, Lehends, Doran, and even coach cvMax said goodbye to the team, leaving only Tarzan and Viper to carry a Griffin that has become too worn out.

But even when marksman Viper shines with incredible carry performances, it is still not enough to help Griffin escape the bottom of the table, forcing them to participate in the LCK Summer 2020 Promotion Round to seek a chance to remain in the top League of Legends tournament in South Korea.
Recently, in a very surprising move, this team announced the successful recruitment of player Kim “Wadid” Bae-in to join the team as a support player.

Wadid previously played professionally for teams such as Team ROCCAT, G2 Esports, Rogue, and FlyQuest. However, before joining Griffin, he had said goodbye to the professional arena and was working as a commentator/analyst for the LCK tournament.

Wadid’s achievements as a player were not particularly outstanding, coupled with the fact that he has been away from the professional scene for a relatively long time. For this reason, the transfer deal of Wadid raises further skepticism among Griffin fans. Will his expertise and experience as an analyst help Griffin avoid relegation successfully?
